Yexuan Lu joins Fraunhofer CSE as a Graduate Fellow for the Grid Integration Group. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in May 2018 with a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Control Systems and Theory. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering & Automation from the Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in June 2016, being awarded multiple scholarships for outstanding performance throughout her study. Yexuan helped author “Intelligent Lighting Control System of Street Lamps” in Energy and Conservation, published in 2014. While pursuing her Master’s, she also completed multiple graduate course projects including ADC Design, 16*4 SRAM Memory Design, Adaptive Filter Design, Automatic Control of Target’s Speed/Position, and Airfare Optimization. Next year, she will pursue her Ph.D. focusing on control theory and optimization. 

In her spare time, Yexuan enjoys traveling, exploring different cultures, and reading. She loves music as well and plays the Erhu, a traditional Chinese instrument.
