As the Grants & Contracts Manager and member of the Leadership Team, Lori is responsible for compliance, financial and awards management at Fraunhofer CSE. Lori partners with the Center’s research staff throughout the life cycle of their sponsored projects supporting the Institute’s cutting edge research and development deliverables. These responsibilities include proposal development and submission, contract negotiations, and reporting requirements, as well as fiscal and administrative oversight until the close of a project.
Before joining Fraunhofer CSE, Lori was the Senior Grants and Contracts Officer for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) in Boston. Lori partnered with Dana Farber's general counsel, technology transfer, research integrity and clinical trials offices, while providing mentorship to other Dana Farber grant and research staff. She also managed a complex portfolio of a division within DFCI’s largest research department. Her 30 years of experience brings diversity, including other health and medical research institutions like Healthwise, The Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering, and Carilion Clinic/Jefferson College of Health Sciences. Lori has provided grants management to mission driven direct service agencies, including Child Health Investment Partnership (CHIP) of Roanoke Valley and Jewish Vocational Service in Boston.
Lori has an Master’s in Public Administration from James Madison University and an undergraduate degree from Brandeis University. She enjoys reading, cooking, attending performing arts and, especially, sharing every day with her family and friends.
