Bob Andrews is Fraunhofer CSE’s Controls and Information Technology Technician. He is responsible for the Center’s IT infrastructure and IT needs including information and system security and building automation. He is also a Data Acquisition Technician for center-wide field deployment projects.

Before joining Fraunhofer CSE in 2012, Bob was the Information Technology Specialist and Infrared Imaging Systems Field Test Advisor at the Air Force Research Laboratory at Hanscom AFB in Bedford, MA. There he was responsible for managing and meeting critical requirements for multiple DOD programs in the Sensor Technology Branch. Bob coordinated multiple field experiments, provided data analysis of unique IR sensor data and testing of hyperspectral, spectral-temporal and multispectral infrared (IR) sensors.

Prior to this, he worked at the Rome Air Development Center at Hanscom Air Force Base as a computer specialist and engineering technician, responsible for resolving IT and software issues across multiple branches and responsible for running a thermal analysis laboratory. Bob programmed software for a multitude of data acquisition projects and was responsible for analyzing varied materials using UV-VIS and FTIR spectrometers.

Bob obtained a B.S. in Information Technology from the University of Phoenix. He likes to snowboard, read, watch movies and do volunteer work with various local agencies.
