Alexis has a passion for renewable energy, green energy capture, and energy storage. Prior to joining Fraunhofer CSE, Alexis was a Researcher in the Solar Energy Research Lab at Boston University College of Engineering. There, she conducted research & development on electrodynamic screens (EDS) for use in self-cleaning solar panels and mirrors, as part of the Department of Energy SunShot program aimed at reducing cost-of-operation of grid-level solar arrays. Previously, Alexis has conducted chemical research in laboratories at Celgene Avilomics, Washington University Medical Center, and Barnard College Chemistry Department.
Alexis earned her Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Barnard College, and her Master’s in Materials Science & Engineering from Boston University, with a focus on Materials for Energy and the Environment.
Alexis is a biking advocate in Somerville, Cambridge, and Boston. Weekends often find her enjoying bike rides, local events & festivals, and playing with dogs.
