Hans Erhorn is the featured speaker for Fraunhofer CSE's 2nd event in the Grid Modernization in Massachusetts Speaker Series: "Driving Energy Efficiency through Residential Scorecards."
Hans is the Head of the Department of Energy Efficiency and Indoor Climate at Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics (Fraunhofer IBP) in Stuttgart, Germany. Hans worked on the addition of ‘energy performance certificates’ in 2007 to the existing German ‘Energy Saving Ordinance (EnEV)’ implemented in 2002 and currently works with the European Union to develop the next generation of Energy Passes (Cards) for residential and commercial buildings.
Hans holds a degree in Environmental Engineering from Hermann Rietschel Institute of Berlin University of Technology. He is a specialist in developing energy concepts for buildings and estates, energy efficient building components and ventilation strategies as well as simulation tools.
