We are proud to offer exciting fellowship programs for students of all backgrounds interested in gaining hands-on experience in sustainable energy and clean technology.
Whether you're an undergraduate or a mid-career professional, joining CSE might be your next best step. We welcome applications from creative people in many disciplines, from scientists and engineers to entrepreneurs and business managers.
CSE Fellows come from a variety of backgrounds and experience levels. Many are international students fulfilling their practical training requirements, while others join us during their undergraduate or graduate careers, or as postdocs. What unites them is an appreciation for the world of applied research and a desire to further their career aspirations in sustainable energy and cleantech.
Fellows are a pivotal part of Fraunhofer CSE's applied research groups, working on unique or ongoing internal and industry R&D projects under the guidance of a member of the technical staff. Fellows will ideally have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related scientific or engineering discipline; Graduate Fellows a Master's or equivalent.
Periodically, we offer positions for postdoctoral researchers whose academic specialization aligns with our research focus, with backgrounds in physics, engineering, building science, chemistry or related courses of study. As a CSE Postdoctoral Researcher, you will have the opportunity to:
A typical postdoc position at CSE can last for up to 3 years. Postdocs receive compensation and are eligible for Fraunhofer employment benefits, including medical insurance. For eligible international scientists, visas will also be sponsored.
TechBridge Fellowships are aimed at entrepreneurs and MBAs who want to develop the analytical skills of a venture capitalist while honing their managerial abilities in an applied technical environment that's intimately involved with discovering and building promising cleantech start-ups. An applicant to TechBridge should:
Those with expertise in another field interested in transitioning to clean-tech are encouraged to apply.
