U-Launch - Grants for Entrepreneurs

Fraunhofer Center for Sustainable Energy Systems

Accelerating New Venture Creation for Early-Stage Cleantech in New England

U-Launch provides financial and technical assistance to help early-stage / start-up clean energy technologies transition from the laboratory to the market. U-Launch awards provide a combination of funded and in-kind services ranging from R&D assistance and incubation to mentorship. Check back for updated solicitations for U-Launch applications.

New England cleantech companies with pilot-ready or early commercial-stage technologies, take note: the CTSI Utility Technology Challenge is now open for submissions, through Jan. 31, 2012. One award in this national competition will be reserved as a U-Launch award for a company in the region.

Funding and Support

U-Launch is partially funded by a three-year award from the U.S. Department of Energy's Innovation Ecosystem Development Initiative and operated by Fraunhofer TechBridge, in collaboration with three partner organizations: the New England Clean Energy Foundation, ACTIONetwork, and the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center.
