Learn About Available Programs and Departments

The Fraunhofer CSE offers three distinct internship programs, each aimed at a particular kind of intern. In addition, we also maintain a Visiting Scientist Program for PhDs and postdoctoral researchers who are interested in working at the Center. These programs are offered in a number of different departments as described below. 

 

Available Programs

 

Internship/Praktikum

Fulfill your practical training requirements for a diploma and get hands-on experience in the sustainable field. For science and engineering students pursuing a German Diplom or a US Master's thesis or equivalent.

MBAs/Cleantech Entrepreneurs - TechBridge Fellowship Program

Launch cleantech business start-ups and gain venture capital experience. For students currently pursuing an MBA or seasoned entrepreneurs interested in starting a cleantech company.

Groups

Solar Module Innovation. The Module Innovation group is looking for students to initiate projects concerned with improving the efficiency, reducing the cost and increasing the lifetime of PV modules. Interested candidates should have a degree in a technical subject, and ideally have some knowledge of PV modules.

 

Building Energy Efficiency. The Building Energy Efficiency group has openings for students who want to work in the areas of building envelope, residential energy management, and building technology demonstrations. Preferred candidates should have backgrounds in either building sciences, mechanical engineering, or architecture. 

 

TechBridge. The CSE TechBridge Program is actively recruiting business students and MBAs interested in working to source projects, investment, and opportunities for cleantech start-ups and spin-outs.  

 

Other Opportunities. The CSE is a rapidly-growing organization with a wide variety of needs and opportunities, including areas like marketing and business development.
