Fraunhofer Center for Sustainable Energy Systems
Join a CSE Team in One of Our Four Focus Areas
Whether you are just beginning your career or are an experienced veteran, CSE has challenging and exciting opportunities for you. Our industry-facing Fellowship program gives you impactful project experience in PV technologies, building energy technologies, distributed electrical energy systems, and/or technology commercialization.
CSE Fellows come from a variety of backgrounds and experience levels. Many are international students fulfilling their practical training requirements, while others join us during their undergraduate or graduate careers, or as postdocs. What unites them is an appreciation for the world of applied research and a desire to further their career aspirations in sustainable energy and cleantech.
Descriptions of all available Fellowship positions can be found on the CSE careers portal.
Work Hours and Tenure Durations
Our Fellowships require applicants to be available for a standard 40-hour work week. The duration of a position varies depending on job needs, but can last between 3 months to 1 year, depending on the applicant's availability. Most positions will require a minimum commitment of 6 months. When applying, please specify how long you will be available for.
Criteria, Eligibility and Compensation
Each position has its own specific requirements, but candidates are also evaluated on a broader range of criteria.
Position titles and compensation are driven by the applicant's education and relevant experience.
