On June 21st, 2012, Fraunhofer CSE, MIT and UMass joined with the German American Chamber of Commerce (GACC) to organize a cross-disciplinary dialogue between leading building technology researchers and the industrial leaders that commercialize these technologies. The purpose of this symposium was to create a forum for defining and addressing real-world market challenges for building technology in the US today.
The 2012 Building Technologies Symposium covered a variety of key building industry topics, including on-site power, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), as well as building enclosures.
This unique event was centered around Das HAUS, a pavilion showcase of German innovations in energy-efficient home building and technology. Das HAUS is an exceptional example of how we can build our homes through clean-technology in energy effective ways.
