Nitin Shukla


Dr. Shukla is a mechanical engineer with a strong background in the areas of thermal science, experimental design, finite element analysis, material processing and project management.  As a Thermal Testing Engineer at Fraunhofer CSE, Dr. Shukla has been involved in projects focusing on thermal insulation technology, phase change materials and thermal/hygrothermal characterization of building materials. He received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech, USA in 2009. After his Ph.D., he joined Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA, as a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, with a focus on heat transfer and energy.   Prior to attending graduate school, Dr. Shukla worked at Engineers India Limited, a premier engineering consultancy organization in Asia, for four years as a Project Planning Engineer. In this role, he was responsible for providing planning, scheduling, costing and monitoring for engineering projects.
