Since 2008, Fraunhofer CSE has: 

 

  • Created hundreds of indirect jobs
  • Provided workforce training for more than 100 young technologists and entrepreneurs
  • Supported over 30 early-stage cleantech companies, who have since collectively raised over $67million in follow-on funding
  • Filed and licensed several patents
  • Acted as a Research Team Leader for the US Department of Energy's Plug-and-Play Photovoltaic project for American homes to reduce costs of residential PV and foster a wider adoption of solar power in the US
  • Established a living laboratory for building technologies and energy efficiency in Boston’s Innovation District
  • Worked with numerous corporate partners, including large corporations and Fortune 500 companies such as Dow Corning, Microsoft, NSTAR, and Shell
  • Acted as a Research Team Leader for the US Department of Energy’s Building America program
  • Given over 100 presentations and invited talks at leading venues such as the National Academy of Sciences
  • Leveraged the initial investment into CSE 9:1
